Send SMS via API’s in Calley
Calley provides a powerful feature to send SMS messages seamlessly via API. This guide will walk you through setting up an SMS profile using the Twilio API, creating an SMS template, and sending SMS directly from the Call from Browser page or the Calley Mobile App. It simplifies communication, enabling quick follow-ups with your contacts during or after calls. This functionality is available for both Calley Pro and Teams. However, in a Calley Teams subscription, the API setup and template creation are managed on the Calley Team Admin Panel, while SMS sending is performed from the Calley Team Agent Panel.
Setting Up the Twilio SMS Profile
Follow these steps to set up your Twilio SMS Profile in Calley:
- Login to Web panel
- Go to Messages > SMS/WhatsApp > Message API Integration
- Click on Twilio SMS Profile and Select the Active Check Box.
- To fetch the required details login to Twilio panel and Copy the Details
- Enter Account SID, Authorize Token and Mobile No. by referring your Twilio Account. and Click on save.
- Click on Ok.
- Now your Twilio SMS profile is activated.
Creating an SMS Template
- After activating your Twilio SMS Profile go to Messages > SMS/WhatsApp > Message Templates
- Select the Profile as Twilio, add Heading and Give Message body in Description here you can you a variables. Click on Submit.
- Click on OK.
- Your Message Templates are created now you can send the SMS to your leads through Twilio.
Sending SMS
When making calls via the browser, you can send SMS immediately after the call:
Prerequisite: Ensure the call list includes an country code with each contact. SMS cannot be sent for numbers without country code.
- Once the call is done then update the feedback on the Call from Browser page.
- To send the SMS, Select the desired Message template from the dropdown menu.
- There are two icons present one is WhatsApp and another is SMS icon. to send the SMS via API please click on SMS icon.
- Now Template will open, please click on Send button.
- SMS Sent Successfully. Click on OK.
Now Click on Save and Pause to Pause the session else Click on Next Call button to moves to the next contact in the list.
With Calley’s SMS via API feature, you can seamlessly integrate SMS communication into your calling workflow. This ensures you maintain consistent and timely follow-ups, enhancing engagement and productivity.
